Recent Verdict: Insurance Bad Faith Claim
Most recently, Law Offices of Stipe & Belote recovered a significant verdict for a client by proving bad faith practices on the part of an insurance company that intentionally did not pay our client, a storage company, the amount of money required to repair hail damage to their property. The insurance company also wrongfully charged the storage company $94,000 for allegedly not having enough insurance on the property when our client actually had adequate coverage. The case went to trial, and the jury found that the insurance company breached its insurance contract and acted in bad faith. The jury awarded our client a total of $754,125 in damages, including actual and punitive damages as well as pre-judgment interest.
